Sacrifices of Kashmiris not to go waste: Dr. Firdous


ISLAMABAD, Jun 17 (APP): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said the sacrifices of Kashmiris will not go waste and they would get their birth right according to their wishes and the United Nations’ resolutions. Addressing a public meeting at Bajwat, near Sialkot, she said that all the conspiracies being hatched against the Kashmiris would be foiled.  She said that struggle of Kashmiris cannot be suppressed by, pressure or any other tactic. Paying tribute to the Kashmiris living in Sialkot region, the Minister said that their sacrifices for the cause of Kashmir would bring results. Talking about the upcoming AJK elections, she said that PPP will win the seats in different parts through the power of votes. 

She said that the poor people of Bajwat will never bow their heads before any industrialists preparing to seek votes for their personal interests.
Referring to her victory in the previous general elections she said that the people of this area had elected a woman and it is due to their support that she was sitting in the Parliament for raising voice of the people of less developed areas. 
She said  that some elements were using police and other state machinery for their vested interests adding that such tactics will not bring success to them. 
The Minister said that PPP will win the upcoming AJK polls, adding, the PPP always fought for the rights of the people and it is doing positive and constructive politics.
She said that in Punjab, the election is being conducted on nine Kashmiri seats. 
She expressed the hope that the PPP will win the seats on the basis of its performance and the people of the area would definitely support the party.
